Tokenized stocks are a digital representation of a stock, and are designed to track the price of the asset they represent. The price of a tokenized share is backed 1:1 by the value of a traditional stock. They are called tokenized because the value of the tangible asset is transferred to a digital asset through tokenization.

The main difference between a tokenized stock and a traditional stock lies in the instrument's structure and the technology behind it. A tokenized stock is a token on the blockchain that gives you exposure to the price of the asset it represents, rather than buying the stock directly on the stock market through a broker. Unlike traditional stocks, tokenized stocks allow you to trade outside of conventional market hours and enable immediate transfers and withdrawals. In addition, when you invest through a tokenized stock, you do not acquire the corporate rights and duties associated with traditional stocks (e.g., voting or governance), but you do receive dividends.

xStocks is a pioneering tokenization platform that issues and manages tokenized instruments (xStocks) designed to track the price of underlying stocks and ETFs. Skipo integrates with xStocks to list these assets within the app and allow users to invest in them easily. This enables a blockchain-based investment experience with extended availability and immediate transfers/withdrawals (depending on the product).

To invest in tokenized stocks, you must verify your Skipo account, make a deposit, and then choose the stock you want to invest in.

Yes. One of the main advantages of tokenized stocks is that you can trade outside of market hours, so you don't have to wait days to buy your position.

No. At Skipo, we do not charge any commissions for buying or selling shares. The price you see is precisely the price you pay to buy or sell, with no hidden fees. When transfering your xStocks via blockchain, you must pay each network's commission.

Yes. You can exchange your shares for Chilean pesos or cryptocurrency and withdraw the funds to your bank account or an external wallet immediately, without waiting or approvals.

Dividend payouts will be automatically reinvested into more of the same token. Rather than receiving a cash dividend, your xStocks balance will increase to reflect the dividend.

The multiplier is the mechanism by which the equivalence between an xStock and its underlying token on the chain is defined. It is adjusted to replicate the economic effect of corporate events, such as dividends or stock splits. When a company pays a dividend, the issuer reinvests it in the underlying asset and updates the multiplier accordingly. Thus, your xStock balance increases to reflect the earnings generated, while the number of tokens on the chain remains the same; the number of tokens you hold does not change, but the value of that number does. For example: You purchase 1 NVDAx with a multiplier of 1.0 (the base multiplier, as each share is backed 1:1 by the underlying asset). This is equivalent to 1 chain token. The company pays a dividend equivalent to 0.26 shares per unit; the multiplier is updated from 1.0 to 1.26. Your balance now shows 1.26 NVDAx. If you withdraw, you will receive 1 token on the chain, which is now equivalent to 1.26 NVDAx.

Tesla (TSLAx), Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQx), State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPYx), NVIDIA (NVDAx), Circle Internet Group (CRCLx), Apple (AAPLx), Robinhood Markets (HOOD), Strategy (MSTRx) y Alphabet (Class A) (GOOGLx).

You can invest in any xStock starting from CLP $1,000. This allows you to start with small amounts and diversify across different stocks.

Yes. You can sell your tokenized stocks for other stocks, crypto, or Chilean pesos without waiting or approvals.

As dividends are automatically reinvested in the same stock and are not considered “cash” earnings, they do not need to be declared. When you settle your shares for CLP, we inform the SII, and you must include that profit in your annual tax return.

If you have tokenized stocks on another platform, you can transfer those stocks to Skipo in seconds. If you have traditional shares, no, as they are different types of shares.
